So many of you, so few of us

Well, I am about half way through with what I need to get accomplished this weekend. Yesterday I was able to get both the boat and the Explorer detailed. I woke up this morning, and my hands are sore from all the scrubbing and polishing. But that is OK. The reason why it is OK is because I made some good bread that can go to our trip. (For those of you not well versed in 70's jargon, bread means money. How do I know this? Cheech and Chong of course!)
And it felt like a very manly day, doing all that outside stuff. Which brings me to what this blog is about.

It is not hard to see that most of the people that write blogs that I read, and the people that read my blog are women. That is not a problem at all, so don't think I am trying to bag on any of you. I was just counting the number of other guys who have blogs that I know, and I can count them all on my left hand. There is of course my cousin Mitch, and my uncle Mike. And my friend Randy who used to live here in Kennewick. Other than that, there aren't any other blogs that I read on a regular basis authored by males.

With that being said, this blog is a tribute to the brave men of blogging. Last night I remembered one of my favorite Burger King Commercials. It is the one where they take the Subaru driving lesbian song, "I am Woman" and turn it into a man version. And of course, through the power of youtube, I am able to present the video to all of you, but especially the dudes.

I feel a little more manly each time I watch that clip. And while I was watching it, I came accross the full version of this manthem. You can download it by clicking here. So while I enjoy reading blogs, from both men and women alike, I would like to see more of the men out there start up a blog and join the party. And if you do, let me know, so I can add you to my favorite blog list.

OK, I am off to mow my last lawn of the weekend. And then I think I will go to Burger King, and turn my innie into an outie. I am hungry, I am incorrigible. I am MAN!!! Here's to a good weekend to all, both man and woman. Goodnight Now!

This was so funny. I loved your last paragraph. I've never seen that commercial, but I loved it. I'm just a little curious now about the lesbian commercial you're referring to...

We must stand together! I'm inspired to up the testosterone level on my blog now... I've tried to maintain a balance because it's the "family" blog, but since I'm the only one that writes on it, I think I may take a little man-nitiative.

I told Jason he should start a blog. He said it would be like more homework. He's more of a talker I guess.

I enjoyed this post. It made me laugh, you are right most blogs are written by females :) My husband enjoys reading my blog but I'm afraid if he started his own it'd go seriously neglected! Maybe you're a trend setter and the rest will follow!

by the way, did you enjoy "The Forgotten Man"? My Dad LOVES WWII books (and so do I incidently). Maybe I ought to buy it for him for Father's Day. He's read all of the other ones I know of. You ought to read "We Die Alone" Very good book, in my top 5 favorites!
